Use QR Code Templates for Brand Consistency

  • Author: Kristin Irish

Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and packaging materials, digital campaigns, and signage using templates to recreate and modify QR code designs fast.

The problem is that different teams and employees creating QR codes can lead to inconsistency, mismanagement, and poor organization, which will reflect in campaigns.

QR code templates are the perfect way to maintain your visual identity while saving time and costs from having to manually repeat designs that can easily be skewed every time.

Now brands can create a QR code standard and make it consistent throughout various campaigns, changing hues and modifying QR code logos as they evolve over time or for seasonal campaigns.

Whether you’re on a professional marketing team for a large corporation or an individual with your own branding, we’ll tell you why QR code templates help preserve your brand identity.

What is a QR code template?

A QR code template is a reusable design with predefined branding elements. With Trueqrcode, you can customize:

  • QR code colors
  • Logo
  • Patterns
  • Frames
  • Corners
  • CTA text

You may choose to have one approved visual style, certain corners, branded colors, put CTAs on materials instead of frames, etc. Always make sure your colors contrast, or the code won’t scan. You can confirm with a test scan. Then, after you create the code, scan again to confirm content links, design modifications, etc.

Or you may choose seasonal colors, modify your logo for campaigns, choose different landing page colors according to product lines or events, and more.

You can save different templates but have a master that you work from to keep design coming from a solid foundation.

Why you need a branded QR code

Create trust with recognizable QR codes that span across marketing materials and channels. Having intentional and professional campaigns set up before launching a branded QR code makes people feel safe when they are sure they’re scanning a secure code with a clear CTA. QR code branding creates a memorable customer experience.

While professional marketers already know why brand recognition is so important, there are many individually owned businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and a multitude of other sectors that have just a few people running the show. What’s so great about QR codes is that you can create, modify, and customize them with no experience. Whether you’re a professional marketer or just starting out, QR code templates enable you to develop your own brand identity that is repeatable, modifiable, and maintainable over time.

The benefits of QR code templates

How QR code templates preserve brand consistency

After approving a visual style, employees, marketing teams, and normally just a few individuals should be working from the same design template. QR code templates reduce human error when tasks change hands. It also saves individuals from remembering exactly what they did the last time and the pressure to recreate the exact design.

While smaller companies and individual creators can have a little more personal control, it’s important for larger marketing teams to set clear guidelines about visual rules to follow when designing original templates and new codes.

QR code branding saves time

You don’t have to build every QR code from scratch. You can make a meaningful first code that can evolve over time with your company branding. That first code, like any logo or visual association with your brand, will be the baseline for new codes.

This is extremely useful when creating codes for multiple locations, product lines, digital campaigns, and more that cater to different regions and audiences, so that you stay recognizable without the time and errors from manual recreation.
